Leonard Szabo first came to Washington, DC to conduct research at the Library of Congress for a PHD dissertation in 18^th century Anglo-American political thought. He fell in love with the city, its neighborhoods & parks, its museums & cosmopolitan culture and has been here ever since. His longstanding fascination with the history of art and architecture sparked his interest in real estate. 

Leonard has taught History and English at colleges, universities, and high schools in Washington, Montreal, Edmonton and in Paris. In addition, he also served as the Academic Director at Asian American LEAD, an educational NGO working with low-income families in Columbia Heights and Mount Pleasant. Leonard’s past business experience includes selling art at high-end art galleries in Georgetown and Bethesda. He also worked in business development, proposal management and helping to negotiate strategic partnerships for Aliron International, a health care services and products company.

Leonard is familiar with the many neighborhoods of the DC metro area and is sensitive to the needs of buyers and sellers from all income groups. His patience, understanding and wide-ranging experience allow him to work well with people from all backgrounds. Leonard has lived in Woodley Park since 1998. His favorite past times include travel, tennis, skiing, hiking, swimming, bike riding and visiting art galleries, but, as Leonard says, nothing beats the excitement, constant challenges and rewards of selling real estate.
